I grew up in a Disney family, meaning we visited Disneyland just about every summer growing up. My parents studied up on the best way to get the most out of a Disney day with a family of 5, and over the years, our whole family has become experts at navigating the parks. We are masters at the FastPass system, know where the best food is, and even know silly trivia facts (if you stand at the end of Main Street at the entrance of Frontierland and look at the Walt Disney & Mickey statue in the plaza, Mickey's nose suddenly becomes Walt's x-rated feature!) Scott and I even had season passes one year, where we learned such secrets as the Dole Whip (a pineapple whipped frozen treat sold ONLY infront of the Tiki Room), and discovered the huge margaritas sold at Neptune's Bar in California Adventures (I'm still surprised we didn't get kicked out the first time we found those!) So it was only fitting to celebrate my birthday at Disneyland this year, seeing that we were in Orange County, and you could get in for free on your b-day in 2009.We were joined by Scott's mom, Linda, his sister, Kelly, and my best friend Carla; and I am proud to say we rode everything we wanted to ride on one of the busiest days of the year...in fact, we even rode Space Mountain twice!
Don't tell Disney I took a picture of the screen instead of buying my pic!And to top it off, we even had a few bar breaks in Downtown Disney (seriously, whats a birthday if it doesn't involve numerous margaritas followed by a monorail ride?)
They gave the drunkards a private compartment (all you have to do is ask for the back!)

it doesn't have to be your actual birthday to get the pin. you can go in around your birthday and get the pin. i was there about 10 days before my birthday and rocked the pin (but not free entry). i loved how EVERYONE in D-Land wished me happy birthday.
i'm impressed you still love the D-Land. i, like you, grew up going there but i don't love the D-Land.
maybe it's because i haven't done it with the margs. will try that next time.

since i grew up so close to dland, i think i took it for granted. our tradition for a few years was to go on christmas day. i love main street decked out with decorations and carolers. how do you spell carolers?

What a fun day! Your hair looks great. I love Dole whip. I have been a fan for 15 years. I like to enjoy dole whip post Indian Jones ride and post jungle cruise...It's a nice way to wrap up one's journey to Adventureland.
