What is one to do when the airline you are booked on GOES OUT OF BUSINESS???? Huh? Last week Aloha Airlines went bankrupt, but we didn't worry because that has already happened to so many other airlines and they are ok. But then this morning, we found out today is their last day of flights, and tomorrow they will be no more! My parents are also booked on Aloha for July, so my dad called me numerous times this morning leaving me messages on what to do. Scott re-booked us on United, and honeymoon is saved! We still leave the day after the wedding, but we switched our return date to a few days earlier as to save some money.
I will sorely miss Aloha Airlines complimentary mai-tai's and chocolate chip cookies....

wow, no more aloha airlines?! so glad you were able to get on united!
we were JUST talking about the poor people who were going to be affected by the airline going down! excuse the pun. did you have to forgo the funds used on aloha? we heard that some people were sol (sorry, sarah lyman) on their spent vacation money.
wow, thank god this didn't happen right before the wedding,
phew, crisis averted! i can't believe that!! so i read your 'wedding nightmare' post while on our honeymoon (there was one computer at the bar by the pool)...and wanted to tell you that i had SEVERAL wedding nightmares! i can't really remember them now, but when i would wake up, i would tell patrick whatever the whole debacle was. a few times it was not picking up the dress. now i remember one --- in my dream i woke up and it was our wedding, and i hadn't planned ANYTHING yet.
so on our honeymoon, i had a POST-wedding nightmare. i assume this was because i read your blog. in this one, where the wedding party was supposed to meet for photos was in the middle of a ghost town on the lake. it was weird. and scary. patrick could not believe i was having post-wedding nightmares!! he laughed at me!
oh my gosh! and whew...so happy you guys were able to re-book and save the day!
geez, don't rebook on ata airlines either... i just saw on the news how they just stopped flying today (i think) and didn't give anyone any notice and those poor people are all screwed!! no refunds, no nothin!
i just saw that on tv too. like a guy bought a ticket yesterday and showed up and they had gone out of business.
on a separate note, christine had her first wedding nightmare last night!
